Brendan Scott Friel has a songwriting finesse that is evident from the very first lines of his spell-binding songs. With expert musicianship and storytelling, Brendan crafts a completely immersive folk/rock experience, earning his reputation as a high-calibre professional in his home city of Windsor, Ontario. Since hitting the ground running with his self-produced solo album Quiet Cars in 2017, Brendan has become a local media favourite, and an export-ready artist, with international tours and hundreds of shows already under his belt. His 2019 single “Border City Town” extolled the highs and lows of life along the Detroit river, sparking interviews and features with CTV, CBC, and the Windsor Star, and the song’s inclusion on the locally acclaimed “Wards of Windsor – Forwards and Backwards” compilation. Brendan is hard at work with Canadian producer James Bunton (Donovan Woods, Joey Landreth) on his next album to be released in April.
