"This Psych-Folk Song By Giant Hand Has Nothing to Do With Giant Hands.
But it is still extremely good shit."
- Sarah MacDonald

Okay, off the top: this new song by Giant Hand has nothing to do with giant hands or anything of the like. But now that we have your attention, you will hear a tight psych-folk track that is textured, melodic, and a bit sorrowful (almost all of the greatest songs have a touch of sadness.) "Key On A String" by the Toronto band is an existential contemplation with lyrics like "oh the clouds forming in me/ and I know that I'll never be free/ and I wish I could float out to sea/ and let the waves take care of me." The opening, tight strum has a mesmerizing tone. With vocals by Kirk Ramsay (who, full disclosure, is employed by VICE) the track is yet still mournful but elevated. Ramsay's vocals are reminiscent of introspective, observing musicians like British singer and songwriter Keaton Henson and even has a hint of Jeff Buckley.
