"Scars are All the Rage" is based on an exploration of trauma. In response to the rise of trauma cultures, the work comments on western societies' mass consumption of trauma for entertainment purposes, shifting towards a more functional rather than technically polished approach to movement and a greater incorporation of absurd punctuations in the choreographic composition.
