LEAR explores the intersection of classical theatre and contemporary performance. It is a collaborative performance project that uses the text of Shakespeare's King Lear to explore the relationship between powers in decline and powers that stand to inherit. LEAR is created by Philip McKee (Director), Clare Coulter, Lindsey Clark, Amy Nostbakken, Liz Peterson (Performers), Rose Plotek (Dramaturge), Kate Whitehead (Set + Costume Designer), James Bunton (Sound Designer), Cara Spooner (Choreographer), Kai Hue-Chen (Lighting Designer + Stage Manager). Originally developed as part of HATCH 2011, LEAR received it’s premiere as part of
